We Have Only The Best Specialists

Dr. Kara Clapp, PhD, NP-c
Family Nurse Practitioner
Dr. Kara Clapp is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2006. She also is certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist since 1995. She has been an RN for 35 years. She graduated from 3 colleges between 1982 and 2006. Her last alma mater is the University of Utah—apologies to BYU fans, of course. In 2008 she decided that disease management wasn’t all that effective in maintaining long term health and it was not professionally satisfying, so she embarked on a course of self-study and combed through years of literature to find better solutions. Her current expertise is gut health and specific nutritional supplementation to support good health especially after age 40.
Her long term professional goal is to help clients optimize their lifestyle choices with the application of general research knowledge to specific situations they struggle with on a daily basis. Education and information is the cornerstone of this endeavor. Finding Dr. Asay and Dr. Castillon was a “perfect fit” of treatment philosophies. She is excited to offer cutting edge solutions through stem cell therapy injections, as well as trigger points injections for acute and chronic muscle pain.
When she is not working, you may run into her on hiking trails in warmer seasons or snowshoeing trails in the winter, or a local yarn shop with her latest knitting project. When none of those are possible, you’ll catch her reading her favorite Kindle subscription, the Journal of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Research or walking her two dogs.
She is married to a wonderful man named Glenn and has no children. Her personal long term goal is to compete in an American Powerlifting Federation event before her 60th birthday.
